Silver Spirit Day 1 – En Route

After a successful – if very bumpy – flight from Vancouver, we’ve arrived at Toronto Pearson airport.  It may be early, but we’re hopped up on coffee and tea, re-fed and ready to go on to Barbados.

For those who have never been, Toronto Pearson has something of a love/hate relationship with most Canadians.  In the past decade, it’s morphed into a well-laid out (if huge) facility that boasts connections to just about anywhere in the world. 

All that variety means the airport is just massive.  In fact, I’m usually left running, breathless and sweaty, as I desperately attempt to make my connection. 

This morning, though, there has been none of that.  The process of switching from the domestic to international section of Terminal 1 was painless and even…pleasant. 

Now it’s off to sunny Barbados and the start of a great adventure – more to come later today!
